“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. The elders work together to equip every member of the Lord’s church for work in teaching, visitation, hospitality and encouragement. In this way every member of the body will be able to serve its function, strengthening the entire body. (Ephesians 4:11-13; II Timothy 3:16-17)
