Deacons

Deacons are men selected for service…they are servants. “Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.” I Timothy 3:13

Brad Barron – Transportation

Brad is responsible for organizing a member team to ensure the care and maintenance of all vehicles owned and used by the church for church-sanctioned events and activities. Maintains accurate vehicle maintenance/use records. Schedules training for approved drivers in keeping with insurance requirements and church policy guidelines.

Randy Chrane – Internal Communications, Technology, Worship

Randy is responsible for organizing a member team to ensure the participation of those who are assigned duties for each worship assembly. Responsible for website maintenance. Reviews for approval all data and content for display.

Steve Ellis – Benevolence

Steve is responsible for organizing a member team to attend to food, clothing, shelter, or financial assistance needs – first attention given to members of the church and their immediate families, then to surrounding communities. He also recommends support for children’s homes. Steve and his team respect confidentiality, particularly regarding any financial assistance requests. He also collects specific information from those requesting financial assistance for prudent need assessment.

Jim Kimbrell – Audio/Visual, Technology

Jim is responsible for operation and maintenance of all audio/video hardware and equipment. He selects and trains other members to assist with equipment operation. He updates and maintains technology for presentation software and reviews/approves all data and content for display.

Lee Knox – Foreign Missions

Lee is responsible for organizing a member team for the ministry of the gospel of Christ in foreign mission efforts. He receives, reviews and analyzes mission support requests, obtains regular communication from supported missions and missionaries. The team determines all annual/periodic financial commitments to be recommended to the elders. Lee also makes regular foreign mission ministry reports to the congregation.

Paul McGuire – Fellowship

Paul is responsible for organizing a member team to plan, coordinate and carry out fellowship events to build up the whole church body. Activities may include group meals, congregational activities, special events such as to honor widows and widowers or Bible teachers, family retreats, and other similar types of events.

David Shaner – Finance

David is responsible for organizing a member team for the prudent record keeping and reporting of all financial contributions and disbursements of the church. This ministry enables the church to effectively support a number of Christian service and ministry activities locally and abroad, and to keep its members informed of the use of its financial resources.

Tony Thompson – Physical Facilities

Tony is responsible for organizing a member team to maintain all buildings and physical facilities of the church. He schedules and conducts work projects to prevent deterioration and make needed improvements.

Gary Vannoy – Youth

Gary works with our new Youth and Family Minister, Tim Mosier, to organize a member team to plan and conduct youth gatherings, devotionals and travel events. They also mentor and train young people in their development as Christians, emphasizing a life of service to others.

Randy Yeaman – Local Evangelism

Randy is responsible for organizing a member team for the ministry of the gospel of Christ in the local area. He maintains a current/updated congregational pictorial and online member directory. The team seeks opportunities for home Bible studies, local outreaches such as the Summer Food Ministry and other community events to present the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. Randy makes regular local evangelism ministry reports to the congregation.
